Job Title: Procurement Expert for Food and Beverage Sourcing

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced procurement professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, supporting the delivery of the category plan, and engaging with suppliers regularly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned projects end-to-end with key stakeholder management to ensure successful implementation
  • Compile analytical data and solutions to inform the category manager of potential project saving strategies
  • Execute tendering and negotiation of designated products and services in a timely manner to deliver savings
  • Support the development and delivery of the food and beverage category plan
  • Foster good relationships with operational representatives
  • Meet with suppliers to discuss performance and drive service excellence and continuous improvement across the portfolio
Requirements:
  • Commercial procurement experience working in a matrix organisation
  • Leading projects or transitions with large matrix cross-functional teams
  • 2 years' experience using procurement methodologies to drive cost savings
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced analytical skills, strong verbal and numeric reasoning
  • Able to effectively dissect information and identify key issues and opportunities
  • Effectively prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Able to deal with multiple issues, pressures and deadlines concurrently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high level of customer service skills
Desirable Criteria:
  • Tertiary qualification in a business-related discipline
  • CIPS qualified or working towards completion
  • Procurement experience in the facilities management or building construction industry
  • Digital procurement experience with a leading P2P platform
  • Previous defence or military experience highly desirable
