Job Overview

The Regional Sourcing Expert will collaborate with operational and technical stakeholders to develop localized procurement solutions that align with business objectives. This role is responsible for ensuring that regional sourcing initiatives deliver long-term cost reduction, risk minimization, and standardization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement regional procurement strategies to meet local operational needs.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities for regionally sourced goods and services.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements and manage supplier relationships.
  • Analyse market trends and develop category knowledge.
  • Manage strategic procurement projects with cross-functional impact.
  • Oversee supplier performance, quality, customer support, and price management.
  • Build new supplier relationships and develop alternative sources and solutions.
  • Ensure alignment with national and global procurement strategies.
  • Provide guidance on procurement matters to operations teams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement or Operations in an industrial setting.
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and analyze data.
  • Strong proficiency in decision-making and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
  • Willingness to travel within Western Australia.
  • University degree in engineering or business administration (preferred).
  • Certification in procurement (CIPSA) preferred.
