Job Overview
You will be at the forefront of shaping corporate tax strategies with extensive experience in Australian Corporate Income Tax. You will be responsible for ownership of all tax compliance and planning matters, including completion of direct and indirect tax returns and ensuring on-going compliance with the appropriate tax authorities.
- Ownership Responsibilities
- Ensure annual tax returns, supporting schedules, reconciliations & other filing requirements are completed and filed in a timely manner.
- Provide solutions and research to any tax issue arising, including presentation to corporate tax and discussion with external advisors.
You will be the key contact point for any tax reviews/ audits by ATO and manage relationships with external consultants like tax lawyers and tax advisors. You will align tax planning discussions with corporate tax team and prepare monthly tax accounting journals for all entities and co-ordinate with offshore and local finance teams for monthly reconciliation.
Key Skills:- Tax experience with significant exposure to Australian Corporate Income Tax.
- Deep understanding of Australian and New Zealand corporate tax rules.
- Understanding of Australian and US GAAP Tax accounting standards.
- Strong computer systems analysis skills with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to provide solid advice and accounting support to key stakeholders within the business.
