
Prenatal Care Specialist

The Northern Sydney Local Health District has a rewarding opportunity for a skilled Midwife to join its dynamic multi-disciplinary team.
This role involves providing high-quality prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to expectant mothers and their newborns. Key responsibilities include conducting regular check-ups, ultrasounds, and monitoring pregnancy progress, as well as supporting mothers during labour and offering guidance to new parents.
As a Registered Midwife with our facility, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive midwifery care, including antenatal, labour, birth, and postnatal support, while adhering to the highest standards of professional practice.
Key qualifications and skills for this role include current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, computer literacy, and recent experience in antenatal, labour, birth, and postnatal care. The ideal candidate will also possess strong teamwork and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a high level of written and verbal skills with both patients and colleagues
- Computer literacy
- Recent experience and competency to practise as a midwife in antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care, lactation and infant feeding
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Current unrestricted NSW Drivers licence
