Job Description

Mt View High School has a strong tradition of academic success and offers a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum supported by various programs and facilities. The school is recognised statewide as a Lighthouse School for Agriculture and values Aboriginal culture with its Amarookoba centre providing cultural and mentoring programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement high-quality teaching and learning programs to meet school and system targets.
  • Lead staff through high impact professional development and facilitate the implementation of engaging pedagogy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote cultural identity, retention and engagement to increase Aboriginal student outcomes.
  • Build relationships with the whole school community to deliver excellence in outcomes for all.
Requirements
  • Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
  • Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with ability to lead and design quality teaching and learning programs.
  • Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
