**Position Overview:**

Muswellbrook High School is located in the Upper Hunter Valley. The school serves a diverse population of approximately 905 students, with about 20% identifying as Indigenous. We foster a culture that embodies our motto, 'Striving for Excellence in a School that Cares'. Our school programs are designed to nourish academic, sporting, cultural and performing arts achievement.

We have strong relationships with local industries, enhancing our curriculum and providing opportunities for students. We cater for diverse learning needs through our Support Unit and offer successful pathways into tertiary study or employment. Our school community is inclusive and supportive, fostering the talents of gifted and talented students and providing enrichment opportunities.

**Key Selection Criteria:**

  • Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (secondary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (secondary) in regular classes.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers.
  • Ability to use data to drive improvement, specifically in relation to Inclusive, Engaging, Respectful schools Policy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team and build positive relationships with all stakeholders.
