About Landcare NSW

We are the representative body of the Landcare movement in New South Wales and the voice of community Landcare. Our mission is to protect, repair, regenerate, and change practice, while promoting learning, sharing, and connection.

Our organisation has around 60,000 members and 3000 groups, with a small team of part-time staff. We have a structure that enables the building of skills, capacity, strength, and connections at every level – from individual groups to district networks, regional associations, and the state peak body.

Ambition and Goals

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our ambitious goals. You will work closely with our Program Manager to deliver the NSW Landcare Program (2019-2023), ensuring timely and budget-friendly execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a sound working knowledge of the NSW Landcare Program to form part of an effective program leadership and management team.
  • Assist with organising fortnightly program team meetings, develop regional council surveys, and compile reports.
  • Work collaboratively with the Program Manager to identify supporting tasks and manage the NSW Landcare Program Team.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A proven track record with at least five years' experience in managing large multi-million, multi-stakeholder, multi-year programs using the latest project management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing, as well as interpersonal, relationship-building, and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a small team and provide administrative support as required.

We are an equal opportunity employer offering a flexible working environment. As a part-time position, your fixed days and hours each week are negotiable at the start of the employment contract. The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 per annum, considering the location within NSW.
