Accounting Assistant

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can provide financial support to the team.

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our organization on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the finance team with accounting functions, including processing journals, month-end reconciliations, and generating reports.

  • Perform regular accounting activities, such as processing journals, month-end reconciliations, and generating reports
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Support Accounts Payable functions when required
  • Support Accounts Receivable functions when required
  • Support the Payroll function when required
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A qualification in Accounting (or nearing completion)
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
  • Experience in month-end accounting, including general ledger recs, journal entries, and variance analysis
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
