Your new role This role is offered as a 6 month fixed term to help during a busy period and is offered on a part-time basis of 3 days or equivalent hours over 4-5 days, Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the finance team with accounting functions, including undertaking month-end and year-end accounting activities and supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions when required.
Your contributions will be essential in ensuring accurate and efficient financial information is delivered accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities: Perform regular accounting activities including processing journals, month-end reconciliations (including bank and general ledger) and generating reports Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Assist Accounts Payable functions when required Assist Accounts Receivable functions when required Support the Payroll function when required Participate in annual external audits and provide ongoing finance support Ad hoc finance activities as required by the Finance Manager What you'll need to succeed This role is perfect for someone who can demonstrate experience in an accountant / financial accounting role and for someone who is interested in working in a community-focused environment.
Key Qualifications and Experience: Qualification in Accounting (or nearing completion)Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations Experience in month-end accounting including general ledger recs, journal entries and variance analysis Solid communication skills, both written and verbal Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence What you'll get in return This is a great opportunity to work on a part-time basis with a great team.
