Psychotherapist Role in Addiction Research

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychotherapist to join our team in addiction research. As a key member of the research group, you will play a critical role in delivering psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy for opioid use disorder within clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality psychotherapeutic care to participants in clinical trials involving psychedelic-assisted treatment protocols for opioid use disorder.
  • Implement the psychotherapy component of psilocybin treatment, including preparation, dosing, and integration phases in line with established protocols and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, researchers, and trial coordinators to deliver comprehensive psychotherapeutic care aligned with clinical and research goals.
  • Conduct participant screening, psychological risk assessment, and documentation of clinical outcomes for regulatory and scientific reporting purposes.
  • Develop and implement clinical processes and performance indicators to support the research group's success and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualifications with extensive experience in psychotherapy for addiction, trauma, or complex mental health conditions.
  • Clinical Psychology endorsement with the relevant registration authority is essential.
  • Strong expertise in psychological risk assessment and managing altered states of consciousness.
  • Advanced planning, communication, and analytical skills; the ability to work ethically and effectively in innovative treatment settings.
