This role involves overseeing the implementation of communications activities and community engagement strategies. You will drive the delivery of communications plans to support achieving Westport's goals and objectives, and build the reputation of the Program.

Job Description

As Manager Communications & Community Engagement, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing effective communications strategies to engage stakeholders and promote the Program's objectives;
  • Leveraging opportunities to highlight benefits and mitigate risks; and
  • Oversight of communications activities and content development to ensure alignment with the Program's goals and objectives.

You will work closely with our team members to provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to foster a supportive and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage, liaise with, and influence a diverse range of stakeholders, including those across Government.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of communications principles and practices;
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
  • Highly developed conceptual, problem-solving, and analytical abilities; and
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base pay range of $134,481.00/yr - $143,736.00/yr.
