At Uniting, we are committed to driving positive change in the lives of our clients. As a Researcher (Aboriginal Identified), you will play a vital role in shaping our organisation's social impact strategy.

As a full-time ongoing position, this role sits within our Social Impact and Advocacy directorate, working closely with the Advocacy/Government Relations team and the Innovation Team. Our work aims to address entrenched disadvantage by informing practice improvement, innovation, and advocacy.

This is a broad and varied role that requires strong research skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to social justice. You will build your networks across academia and the social care sector as you take responsibility for day-to-day management of our external research projects. You'll refine your qualitative and quantitative research skills by working with our Principal Researchers on a variety of in-house projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing external research projects
  • Developing and refining research proposals
  • Collaborating with practitioners, policy makers, and academics
  • Liaising with government agencies

Successful applicants will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in conducting qualitative consultations
  • Knowledge of government bodies and social policy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $85,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will have access to ongoing professional development opportunities, flexible work arrangements, and a dynamic work environment.
