Electrical Design Manager

As a senior engineering professional, you will lead a national team of experts to deliver high-quality design solutions across multiple clients in the Mobile Communications industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate all engineering design activities nationally to ensure successful project outcomes and business objectives are met.
  • Ensure efficient execution of design components within pre-construction programs of work.
  • Provide technical leadership and quality governance in Structural Engineering.
  • Identify and execute contracted Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across Mobile Communications programs of work.
  • Achieve sustainable commercial results for the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with the Professional Services national team to optimize delivery and maximize commercial outcomes for clients and the business.
  • Effectively manage the end-to-end design delivery process.
  • Ensure the national design team meets specific cost and time expectations on each project and against program of works to meet financial targets.
  • Coordinate resources (internal and external) under role delegation, including resource leveling where required, to ensure monthly utilization and budgeted performance targets are met.
  • Lead, manage, and coach the Design Team (e.g., Engineers, Drafters, Coordinators, and Admin team members) to meet project objectives and maximize performance.
  • Ensure design packages comply with Australian Legislation, applicable Codes and Standards, organizational processes, and policies, as well as client-specific requirements.
  • Ensure design packages present the most cost-effective construction solution.
