Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to drive profitable growth across categories, crafting and executing strategies that deliver customer-centric, sustainable growth while surpassing sales and profit targets.

As a key player in the team, you'll be responsible for shaping the future of our categories and leading them to success. From developing and delivering compelling category plans to driving growth, you'll work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and key stakeholders to ensure we stay ahead of the curve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Craft and Execute: Develop and deliver category plans that address evolving customer needs and ensure we stay ahead of market trends.
  • Collaborate and Negotiate: Build and nurture long-lasting supplier partnerships, negotiating mutually beneficial agreements that drive value for both customers and the business.
  • Inspire and Lead: Lead your team with passion and energy, empowering them to create high-performing, customer-first solutions that resonate across all areas of the business.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven expertise in retail buying or category management, with a strong track record of developing and managing high-performing categories.
  • A customer-centric mindset, able to translate customer insights into strategies that drive business growth and enhance the customer experience.
  • Strategic vision and innovation, with the ability to spot market trends, anticipate customer preferences, and drive innovation to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build and maintain impactful relationships with both internal and external suppliers.
  • Financial acumen, with an understanding of how to manage budgets, optimize product offerings, and track sales performance to deliver profitability while keeping the customer at the centre.
