We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at the KCGM site.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Health and Safety Superintendent and play a pivotal role in maintaining our Mine Health and Safety Management Plan.
This position involves ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, reviewing risk management documentation, and promoting critical risk management practices across the site.
The Senior Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for reporting and analyzing critical risk data, monitoring quality control measures, and conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.
To excel in this role, you will need recognized tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety and relevant industry experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain the Mine Health and Safety Management Plan, focusing on risk management awareness and compliance.
- Review and analyze risk management documentation, incorporating legislative requirements and company objectives.
- Promote critical risk management practices across the site, including training and system access.
- Analyze and report critical risk data to support site compliance and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor quality control measures, scheduling verifications and supervisor coaching.
- Review Principal Mining Hazard Management Plans and report on compliance.
- Facilitate ChemAlert updates and conduct training as required.
- Complete document control reviews and updates.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and workplace inspections.
- Investigate events and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety performance through health and safety initiatives.
- Recognized tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety.
