Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to join our team at the Tropicana Gold Mine. In this role, you will be responsible for producing ventilation plans and strategies for the underground mine to meet physicals in alignment with the mine plan and strategy.

You will also provide leadership and direction to Ventilation Technician Team members, ensuring safety and planning compliance within the underground mining alliance.

This is a permanent position which is accountable to the Underground Manager and offers an appealing 4 days on/3 days off FIFO roster with a quick commute from Perth.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hold a degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
  • Have exposure to underground production, ventilation, and planning practices
  • Be able to lead effectively and communicate complex ideas simply
  • Possess a Permanent working right in Australia (we are able to consider those currently in Australia with existing sponsorship visas)
  • Underground Ventilation Officer Certificate of Competency, or willingness and ability to obtain competency
