Senior Credit Risk Modeller Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly created team within the centralised Risk Analytics Business Unit, focused on supporting credit risk modelling for a Tier-1 Consumer Bank and its affiliated brands.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team responsible for assessing, developing and recalibrating IRB credit risk models (PD, LGD, EAD) across the Group.
  • Develop predictive models within the Basel III framework to drive business growth and enhance decision-making capabilities.
  • Navigate complex data platforms to source, extract and analyse data, ensuring robustness and quality for modelling purposes.
  • Document all modelling processes, decisions and outcomes effectively.
  • Communicate and collaborate seamlessly with broader Basel III project and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
  • Support the BAU team in their key deliverables.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in credit risk modelling.
  • Proficiency in SAS programming; R and Python are also considered beneficial skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or Information Sciences, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience handling large and complex datasets, data manipulation and analysis.
  • Proactive, high-achieving individual with initiative to outperform and deliver quality outcomes in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant APRA standards (e.g., APS 113, 220, 112) is highly advantageous.
