Job Title: Ndis Employment Coach

Assist participants and school leavers to achieve their employment goals and social inclusion under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Provide one-to-one servicing with a key focus towards building capacity towards employment. Develop strong relationships amongst various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build a professional relationship with participants at differing stages in their employment journey.
  • Provide a positive and supportive environment for people with disability to assist them with reaching their goals of finding and sustaining employment.
  • Create an individual support plan and a 12 week plan that outlines the participants journey towards finding and keeping a job.
  • Create and seek opportunities that enables an individual to reach their own potential as a valued member of their community in line with their NDIS goals, inclusive of work experience activities.
  • Facilitate individual and group activities, using a variety of enabling styles including but not limited to job readiness skills, volunteering / work experience, and confidence building.
  • Ensure efficiency and compliance with administrative processes in line with organisational policies, procedures, legislative requirements and guidelines from the National Disability Insurance Agency.
  • Maintain data integrity and efficiently manage workload; prioritising tasks and ensuring all work is completed within designated time frames.

  • The ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated.
  • To be proactive, showing initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Resilience and patience, with the ability to work with complex behaviours.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate – or willing to obtain prior to start.
  • A reliable vehicle with current comprehensive car insurance.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide vocational support to participants who live with disability, delivering a service that enables them to build their capacity and work toward meeting their employment goals.
  • Experience in facilitating individual and group educational activities.
  • High level of customer service skills, networking and stakeholder engagement skills.
