About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of excellent practice and the efficient management of delegated programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Proactively lead and motivate staff to continuously improve their performance and development, service delivery, operational efficiencies, and partnerships.
- Service Delivery: Manage all aspects of service delivery within the area to the Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF) Standards.
- Contract Management: Maintain adherence to all requirements and objectives listed in service agreements and contracts.
- Financial Management: Work with Finance to set, implement, and review budgets, ensuring that all programs' budgets are adhered to, and best value principles of expenditure are maintained.
- Resource Allocation: Work with Shared Services to ensure all programs and employees are adequately resourced to fulfill their roles effectively.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Initiate and develop strong purposeful collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders, including government departments, local elected members, NGOs, and the private sector.
- Process Improvement: Actively innovate, improve practice methodology, internal processes, and systems of undertaking business within the organization.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in strategic planning and identifying growth opportunities, including grants and tenders, and assist in their implementation.
- Administrative Duties: Ensure the timely and accurate completion of administrative duties, such as progress reports, finance documentation, and business case submissions, in line with legislative, procedural, and contractual requirements.
- Knowledge and Compliance: Maintain a strong knowledge of and adhere to organizations' practice frameworks, values, policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- On-Call Duty: Take part in the on-call duty roster and complete other duties as directed.
About You:
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A tertiary qualification - ideally a Bachelor in Human Services
- Experience within Child protection
- Strong leadership skills, including at least 5 years management experience
- Resilient approach to problem-solving
- Confidence in your own strengths and skillset
- Solid understanding of the out-of-home care sector
- Strong ability to have those tough work-related conversations
- Experience with change management
