We are seeking skilled Mechanical Tradespeople to join our Newcastle team. This is a full-time permanent role with a competitive salary package and strong work-life balance.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for performing daily mechanical maintenance tasks and ensuring plant and equipment are safe and reliable.

About the Role

This role involves leading, mentoring, and coordinating trades teams and belt splicers, as well as carrying out pulley and bearing maintenance and liaising with clients and managing expectations onsite.

You will also be responsible for supporting the training and development of team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily mechanical maintenance tasks
  • Ensure plant and equipment are safe and reliable
  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate trades teams and belt splicers
  • Carry out pulley and bearing maintenance
  • Liaise with clients and manage expectations onsite
Requirements
  • Certificate of Proficiency in Engineering – Mechanical or Engineering – Fabrication
  • Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Dogging and Rigging tickets
  • Ability to work independently and lead small teams
  • Strong communication and client liaison skills
  • A safety-first mindset with WHSE experience
  • Comfortable mentoring less experienced staff
