CQUniversity is seeking an experienced academic to contribute to the Teaching, Research and Service Activities of our School of Education and the Arts.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about advancing Geography. If you have a postgraduate qualification or equivalent in the field of Geography, Environmental Science or a closely related discipline, and experience teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students using multi-modal delivery strategies, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver foundation and profession-focused units in Geography, engaging students across undergraduate, honours and postgraduate levels.
  • Engage in quality research and scholarly activity, contributing to the School's research program.
  • Support students through multi-modal delivery strategies, fostering industry connections and dynamic learning experiences.

Requirements:

  • A postgraduate qualification or equivalent in the field of Geography, Environmental Science or a closely related discipline.
  • A teaching qualification or willingness to complete a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching / Education.
  • Experience teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students using multi-modal delivery strategies.
  • Proven research record with recent publications and ability to contribute to the School's research program.

Senior Lecturer Level:

  • Possession of a PhD in Geography, Environmental Science or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience in team leadership and mentoring junior academic staff.
  • Ability to develop engaging teaching materials and effectively collaborate with industry and community partners.
