Geography Academic Opportunity

CQUniversity is seeking a motivated academic to contribute to the teaching, research and service activities of the School of Education and the Arts. This role will involve developing and delivering foundation and profession-focused units, engaging in quality research and scholarly activity, and supporting students across undergraduate, honours and postgraduate levels.

The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for innovative teaching, a collaborative approach to research and scholarship, and the ability to build strong connections with students, colleagues, industry and community partners. We are seeking someone who is passionate about advancing Geography and can inspire the next generation of learners.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a postgraduate qualification or equivalent in Geography, Environmental Science or a closely related discipline.
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to complete a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching / Education.
  • Experience teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students, using multi-modal delivery strategies.
  • Proven research record with recent publications and ability to contribute to the School's research program.

Additional Requirements For Senior Lecturer:

  • Possession of a PhD in Geography, Environmental Science or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience in team leadership and mentoring junior academic staff.
  • Ability to develop engaging teaching materials and effectively collaborate with industry and community partners.
