We are seeking a skilled and experienced teacher to join our team at Melbourne Polytechnic. As a Casual Teacher - Locksmithing, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training in locksmithing to students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and materials to meet the needs of students.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to ensure students meet competency standards.
- Promote courses and engage with industry contacts to foster partnerships and opportunities.
- Maintain quality assurance processes to ensure excellence in program administration, design, delivery, assessment, and evaluation.
- Participate in professional development to maintain vocational currency and enhance teaching skills.
- A relevant certificate or academic qualification in locksmithing or a related field.
- Industry experience in locksmithing or a related field.
- Well-developed teaching skills, including the ability to select and use a range of teaching and assessment strategies.
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE41016) or its equivalent.
- A sound knowledge of the locksmithing industry.
- Capacity to plan, schedule, and meet agreed deadlines in completing teaching duties.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety, Anti-Discrimination, Quality Assurance, and Continuous Improvement principles.
- A current Working With Children Check.
- Ability to provide evidence of entitlement to work in Australia.
- A competitive hourly rate of $82.00 - $88.59 + Superannuation.
