We are seeking dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educators to join our team at Sparkways, a Social Purpose organisation committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and care.
About the Role
This part-time position involves working with 3 and 4-year-old children in a play-based, child-led pedagogy environment. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging learning space that fosters imagination, exploration, and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and Implementing Educational Programs: Develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of each child, promoting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Scaffolding and Documenting Children's Learning: Work closely with children to identify their strengths and interests, and document their learning journey through observations and stories.
- Collaborating with Colleagues: Contribute to a child-centred, friendly team environment by sharing knowledge, skills, and experiences to ensure high-quality care and education.
Requirements
- Qualifications and Experience: Hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher, with extensive experience working with 3 and 4-year-old children.
- Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to Child Safety and Inclusivity: Uphold the highest standards of child safety and inclusivity, ensuring all children feel welcome, respected, and valued.
