About the Role

The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst provides critical support and expertise to allow the business to operate effectively. In this role, you will ensure integrity between Metro Train Melbourne's (MTM's) financial reports provided to shareholders and the Department of Transport (DTP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and submission of MTM's monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting, shareholder reporting and Board reporting
  • Assisting in the preparation of consolidated budgets and forecasts as required
  • Preparing accurate monthly profit share and statistical reporting in a timely manner as requested by government bodies and approved institutions
  • Assisting with the investigation of financial information, audit processes and, ad hoc reporting and analytics as required

About You

You will be a qualified accountant with extensive relevant experience in a FP&A or Management Reporting role for a large, complex organisation.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in the preparation and collation of financial information
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills, combined with high attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle competing demands and work to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate complex business issues to Executives
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting
