Cable Jointer Role

Key responsibilities include constructing, installing, connecting, maintaining and repairing high and low voltage distribution network assets and equipment, with a focus on underground components.

Key Skills
  • Application of knowledge required for the Cable Jointer role in an energy distribution environment.
  • Experience working during planned and unplanned events.
  • Knowledge of system switching, access procedures, tools, plant and equipment.
  • Implementation of enterprise WHS and environmental procedures and processes.
  • Application of Cable Jointer trade skills in an energy distribution environment.
  • Collaboration with others in a team environment.
  • Liaison with stakeholders and customers.
  • Computer skills appropriate for the role.
Required Qualifications
  • Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Cable Jointing or demonstrated capability through past experience and/or qualifications.
  • Drivers license.
  • WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Certificate.
  • Ongoing successful maintenance of regulatory, industry and business requirements.
