About the Role:

Our Blackburn facility is an ideal location to provide care and support, with Forest Hill Chase nearby, the Belgrave and Lilydale train line within reach, and a selection of cafes and restaurants available.

The primary focus of the Resident Companion role is to ensure residents receive specific one-on-one time each week, upholding our Additional Services commitments and supporting our residents in promoting connection and well-being.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Liaise with the General Manager to develop a plan for each resident.

- Coordinate requested personal outing services for participating residents.

- Complete accurate and detailed participation notes.

- Focus on building rapport and offering companionship to each resident taking part in the Resident Companion program.

- Manage time effectively for each resident.

Requirements for this Position:

- Effective communication in writing and verbally with diverse audiences.

- The ability to adopt a team approach and deliver quality customer service.

- The ability to adjust to multiple demands.

- A warm and personable disposition.

- A hands-on approach.

- An understanding and specific training in Dementia would be beneficial.
