The Pastoral Care Practitioner provides emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families. This role requires working collaboratively with the pastoral care team and other disciplines to ensure that spiritual assessments are included in patient care plans.
Responsibilities include providing skilled pastoral care, ensuring information about Pastoral Care Services is provided to patients and staff, and understanding the diversity and complexity of spiritual needs within the patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, sensitive and skilled pastoral care to patients, families and carers

- Understand the diversity and complexity of spiritual needs within the patient population
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree with qualifications in Spirituality/Theology/Pastoral Care or willingness to undertake same
- Experience in hospital-based Pastoral Care
- Ability to articulate a mature spirituality
