Material Handling Operator

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Material Handling Operator to join our team. As a Material Handling Operator, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials within our facility using a forklift.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Transporting goods and materials to and from designated areas within the facility.
  • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks, vans or containers.
  • Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
  • Checking loads are secure.
  • Stacking empty pallets.
  • Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.
  • Removing waste wraps or material from pallets.
  • Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Dumping waste wraps or materials into waste collection bag.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience within a warehouse environment.
  • Excellent communication skills along with a high understanding of numeracy.
  • Ability to work well within a small team.
  • Must hold a valid Work Safe Forklift licence.
  • Prior experience with the use of a Forklift.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Preference given to candidates with Mandarin language skills.

Work Arrangements:

  • This is a full-time position with Monday to Friday hours.
  • The working hours will be 8 hours per day.
