The role of the Supply Chain and Logistics Director sets the strategic direction of supply chain activities and leads the team in developing, implementing, and executing supply chain processes to support timely order fulfillment and business objectives.
- Overseeing the movement of goods and materials from suppliers to customers involves planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, warehousing, and distribution.
- Demand planning and forecasting ensure sufficient and appropriate inventory levels through collaboration across sales, marketing, operations, and finance.
- Market planning leads communications between sales, marketing, operations, customer support, quality, regulatory, and fulfillment to monitor and manage inventory and close gaps between inventory and customer demand.
- Supply Chain Optimization oversees procurement, inventory management, supplier management, contract negotiations, transportation, fulfilment, and customer service to enable an optimal supply chain and minimize disruptions.
