About the Role

This position involves assisting individuals to access relevant information about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and guiding them through the planning process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting participants to develop a plan that includes their goals, needs, and wishes
  • Providing information and support to individuals who are not eligible for the NDIS scheme
  • Building and maintaining partnerships with community organizations to refer participants to a range of services
  • Developing strong community relationships to build capacity and make communities more accessible and inclusive

We are seeking an individual who identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and has knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and cultures. You will also have lived experience or experience caring for someone with a disability, and be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful.
