Pool Safety Specialist

As a key member of the Centre's Operations Team, our Pool Safety Specialists are responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers and patrons at our aquatic facilities.
The successful candidate will convey information with authority, act as a positive role model for healthy and connected communities, and maintain a fun and safe environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain constant supervision of all patrons within the aquatic facility and conduct routine patrols to ensure the safety of their designated areas.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety to patrons using the aquatic areas with specific attention to the Royal Life Saving Keep Watch Policy.
- Perform various pool maintenance duties as directed, to maintain a clean and safe facility.
- Act immediately and appropriately to assist patrons in the event of an emergency.
- Follow and lead with centre emergency action plans and procedures as required.
- A strong swimmer with experience in lifesaving methods and procedures, including first aid and standard resuscitation measures.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding conduct of the public at pools.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Royal Life Saving NSW Lifeguard Certificate.
- Ability to obtain a valid Working with Children Check.
- National Police Check.
