Product Management Opportunity in Defence Sector

This is a permanent Product Manager opportunity based in Canberra to support the Integrated Work Package within the JC4S Branch. We are seeking an experienced professional to provide product management services and manage defence systems.

Key Responsibilities

The role includes but not limited to:

  • Providing product management services to support capability delivery
  • Managing and maintaining product schedules, documentation including review and development of in-service support plans
  • Coordinating and managing product governance activities and contract change proposals
  • Overseeing and reviewing planned and unplanned maintenance schedules and future sustainment schedules
  • Developing and maintaining BAU support, monthly reporting and other services to ensure capability and project are aligned to engagement standards
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in a Defence environment and managing defence systems, products or processes
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and driving deliverables and priorities
  • Bachelor's or certifications in a related field of study
  • Certifications in Agile, PRINC2, PMBOK will be highly regarded
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent stakeholder management

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
