Remote is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join the team in Home Affairs. The Senior Product Manager will have a deep understanding of customer needs and will be responsible for ensuring that the product meets these needs and expectations. The role requires navigating complex stakeholder relationships, complying with regulations and laws, and working in a transparent and accountable environment. The focus will be on the product's long-term success and viability, working closely with cross-functional teams to meet both customer needs and business goals. Creativity and resourcefulness are essential in modernising and innovating legacy systems. The role is within the Product Delivery Directorate, which is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs. (RFI 31-2526)

Role Description

Key responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive product strategy aligned with business goals and customer needs.
  2. Lead cross-functional teams to define and deliver product features and priorities.
  3. Prioritise resources, including budget, personnel, and technology, to meet product goals.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer needs and market trends, gathering input and feedback on product plans.
  5. Work with development teams to ensure proper understanding and implementation of product requirements.
  6. Monitor product performance and recommend improvements.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Professional certification in Product Management or related roles, e.g., Certified Product Manager (CPM), Product Manager Certification (PMC), or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO 1).
Required Knowledge/Experience and Tools
  • 3+ years of relevant Product Management experience.
  • Ability to create product roadmaps, define vision, and align strategy with goals and customer needs.
  • Effective prioritisation of tasks and features based on value and impact.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise the product backlog.
  • Understanding of technical aspects of product development, including software development, architecture, and infrastructure.
Highly Desirable
  • Proficiency with Product Management tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar.
  • Familiarity with government processes, policies, and regulatory requirements.
