**Job Title:** Head of Climate Management

**Job Description:** We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our climate management strategy, delivering and evolving our Group-wide climate and environmental approach. You will work closely with senior leaders to drive business decision-making and support capability development, ensuring QBE maintains an environmental leadership position.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Deliver and evolve our Group-wide climate and environmental strategy, commitments, metrics, and targets.
  • Build enterprise thinking and collaboration across regions to drive innovation and commercial opportunities aligned with our sustainability strategy, commitments, and targets.
  • Oversee climate-related activities across underwriting, investment, and procurement, working with stakeholders across functions and teams.
  • Conduct assessments of QBE's Group-wide climate-related risks and opportunities, integrating consideration into relevant business processes.
  • Coordinate climate-related scenario analysis.
  • Lead the ongoing maintenance, integration, and monitoring of our Group Environmental Policy.
  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of our net zero roadmap for operations, including resource efficiency, emissions reduction, renewables sourcing, and carbon offsetting.
  • Ensure climate-related disclosures and responses meet QBE membership, benchmarking survey, and sustainability submission requirements.
  • Monitor performance and deliver exception reporting to governance forums.
  • Develop impactful communications for executive briefings, investor relations, and employee engagement activities.
  • Represent QBE in internal and external working groups and forums.
**Requirements:**
  • At least 8 years' experience in a related field.
  • Strong background/understanding in the finance sector, with extensive knowledge of climate change, biodiversity, and sustainability.
  • Strategic leadership with proven experience delivering and maturing roadmaps/strategies in a high-quality, timely manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to articulate complex concepts to a broad audience.
  • Ability to manage and resolve conflict, work under pressure.
