Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Rolling Stock Supervisor to lead our team at Lilyfield. In this role, you will oversee daily preventative and corrective maintenance activities across the Sydney Light Rail Fleet.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute maintenance plans to ensure LRVs are available for service and meet contract requirements.
  • Lead fault finding, servicing, and repair of LRVs.
  • Ensure technicians have the necessary tools, equipment, and competency required to perform work by providing training and mentoring as needed.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring team members follow correct practices, use relevant PPE equipment, and maintain clean and tidy work areas and depot.
  • Drive process improvement and optimize ways of working within the depot.
  • Contribute to team efficiency improvements to enhance availability and fleet performance.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical or electrical trade qualification is essential.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to mentor and lead a team for stronger outcomes.
  • Prior experience in rolling stock maintenance is desirable.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Good computer skills, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Commercial awareness and customer focus.
