We are seeking a diligent and proactive Community Maintenance Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for maintaining outdoor spaces, repairing facilities, and ensuring a welcoming environment for residents.

This is a part-time role, 30 hours per week. You will work closely with our community staff to ensure that all areas of the community are well-maintained and tidy.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in maintenance, gardening, landscaping or handyman roles, as well as strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

You will be self-motivated, have a positive attitude, and excellent customer service skills. A valid driver's license is also required.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain gardens, lawns, and outdoor spaces (mowing, weeding, hedging, etc.)
  • Carry out general repairs and routine maintenance across the community
  • Keep communal areas clean and tidy, including pressure washing and waste removal
  • Safely store and maintain tools, equipment, and chemicals
  • Assist with trade coordination and community event setups when required
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in maintenance, gardening, landscaping or handyman roles
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem-solve independently
  • Great customer service and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as required on a rotating roster
