At Umwelt, we're a team of experienced professionals with a national presence.

We provide integrated environmental and social assessment and management services across various sectors, including renewables, infrastructure, sustainability, defence, regulation, policy, critical minerals, and urban development.

Our Ecology team is highly respected for its ecological projects across the ACT and NSW, and we're looking for senior ecologist candidates with diverse experience in field work, assessments, legislative awareness, solid reporting, and project management skills.

  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, botany, zoology, or a related field
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Terrestrial flora and/or fauna survey experience, including planning surveys and coordinating field teams
  • Demonstrated experience in managing medium and large-scale projects
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, government agencies, and team members
  • Collection and interpretation of ecological and spatial data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report preparation and review
  • Highly motivated with a strong team commitment
