We are seeking a Petrologist to join our Laboratory team in Brendale. As a Petrologist, you will provide professional services and advice on petrographic analysis of construction material samples.


Key Responsibilities



  • Manage projects and client expectations, including petrographic sample analysis and reporting to relevant standards.
  • Review and sign off on petrographic analysis reports prior to client issue.
  • Liaise with clients and other consulting and laboratory staff to ensure client needs are coordinated.
  • Regular contact with government departments and agencies for information and updates on legislation.

Requirements



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Petrology, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of rock and mineral analysis techniques and methods.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex data and results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
