An exciting opportunity has arisen at Groundwork - Part of SLR, for a Petrologist to join the Laboratory team, based in our Brendale location.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Petrology Analyst to provide clients and Groundwork personnel with high quality professional services and advice in relation to petrographic analysis of construction material samples.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and client expectations, including petrographic sample analysis and reporting to ASTM C295, and AS1726.
  • Review and sign off of petrographic analysis reports prior to client issue.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Meet project deadlines and carry out other duties as may be required from time to time to meet the changing business needs of the organisation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Petrology, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of rock and mineral analysis techniques and methods.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex data and results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum depending on experience.
