The Graduate Nurse Program at Swan Hill District Health is designed to provide new graduate nurses with a comprehensive and supportive learning experience. Our program offers a range of benefits, including clinical nurse educators, orientation and supernumerary time, paid study days, access to eLearning courses, internal in-service education, and night duty opportunities.
Throughout the graduate year, you will have the opportunity to work with enthusiastic staff from across the district, including an experienced and committed Education Team. You will receive informal and formal feedback throughout the year, as well as regular group debrief sessions with your peers.
Our program is tailored to be interactive and engaging, with each study day commencing with an informal debrief session. You will also have the opportunity to meet with our Education Manager through information sessions, which are held annually.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A current registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Completion of a Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent qualification.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Opportunities for professional development and growth.
