Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is seeking an experienced Information Technology Manager to oversee and manage our IT Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining applications software, diagnosing and repairing LAN hardware devices, and monitoring network performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installing and maintaining applications software and hardware
  • Diagnosing and repairing LAN hardware devices
  • Monitoring network performance and cabling
  • Performing daily backups of all data
  • Maintaining the safety and security of all hardware, software, and data
  • Preparing the Information Systems Department annual budget
  • Developing and maintaining Disaster Recovery contingency plans

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Information Technology Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Information Systems, excellent communication skills, and experience with hotel computer systems.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of workplace practices in Occupational Health and Safety and be available for after-hours paging 24/7.
