Role Overview

As an Insolvency Manager, you will lead a team towards achieving both financial and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include overseeing insolvency appointments and engagements, cultivating a high-performance culture, and nurturing relationships with referral partners. This pivotal role ensures that the team operates efficiently, delivering the highest standard of service to clients.

Candidate Profile

To qualify for this position, candidates should possess the following:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in insolvency.
  • Strong technical expertise with the capability to manage complex cases.
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring a team of 2-4 individuals.
  • Completion or enrollment in the ARITA education program.
  • Accreditation as CAANZ/CPA (or equivalent).

Additionally, candidates should have prior experience in the following key areas:

Case Management:

  • Oversee the initiation and administration of new cases.
  • Review and guide staff on correspondence management.
  • Draft and evaluate intricate reports and recommendations.
  • Facilitate asset sales and ensure compliance with operational strategies.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and prepare for creditor meetings.
  • Assist in legal matters, including court preparations and mediations.

Financial Oversight:

  • Monitor and discuss case and team fees, budgets, and ongoing work.
  • Prepare monthly management reports and conduct annual budget assessments.
  • Ensure accurate recording of billable tasks on timesheets and team adherence.

Team Development:

  • Train, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage team workloads effectively.
  • Facilitate personal development plans and identify growth opportunities for the team.
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding processes for new staff.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws and industry standards.
  • Ensure adherence to proper insolvency practices across all client cases.
  • Enhance team members' technical skills through education and development.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Guarantee timely and budget-compliant completion of all cases.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including creditors and regulators.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with client cases.

Relationship Management:

  • Maintain robust relationships with referral partners and creditors.
  • Respond promptly to stakeholder inquiries.
  • Represent the firm professionally in all interactions.

Business Development:

  • Engage in firm marketing events and industry networking opportunities.
  • Develop and sustain long-term relationships with referral partners.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives such as newsletters and workshops.
