About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Insolvency Manager to join our team at Precruitment in Cairns. As a key member of our insolvency and restructuring team, you will be responsible for leading a team in achieving financial and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage insolvency appointments and other engagements, driving a culture of high performance and fostering relationships with referral partners.
  • Oversee the setup and administration of new files, review and instruct staff on incoming and outgoing correspondence, and draft and review complex reports and recommendations.
  • Monitor and discuss file and team fees, budgets, and work in progress, prepare monthly management reports and annual budget reviews, and record all chargeable tasks on timesheets and ensure team compliance.
  • Train, coach, and provide feedback to team members, conduct performance reviews and manage team workloads, facilitate personal development plans and identify opportunities for team growth, and participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards, ensure correct insolvency practices are followed on all client files, and educate and develop team members' technical skills.
  • Ensure all files are completed on time and within budget, communicate effectively with stakeholders, including creditors, regulators, and referral partners, and identify and mitigate risks associated with client files.
  • Maintain strong relationships with referral partners and creditors, respond to stakeholder queries in a timely manner, and represent yourself professionally in all interactions.
  • Participate in firm marketing events and industry networking opportunities, develop and maintain long-term relationships with referral partners, and contribute to firm marketing initiatives such as newsletters, social media, and workshops.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 years of insolvency experience.
  • Well-developed technical knowledge and the ability to manage complex files.
  • Experience in managing and training a team of 2-4 staff.
  • Completion or undertaking of the ARITA education course.
  • Completed CAANZ/CPA (or equivalent).
