We're seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as Senior Legal Counsel, Employment Law. As a key member of our legal department, you'll be responsible for providing expert guidance on employment law matters.

Responsibilities
  • Legal Advice and Support: Provide authoritative legal advice on enterprise agreements, awards, contracts, workplace investigations, and terminations.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Continuously monitor legislative and industrial relations developments to advise on implications for policy, practice, and risk.
  • Documentation and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related documentation to ensure legal robustness and alignment with organisational values.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Partner with senior internal stakeholders and external counsel to embed legal risk management into our workforce strategy.
  • Policy Influence: Contribute to enterprise-wide decision-making on employment practices and compliance.
  • Response and Litigation: Lead or support responses to regulatory inquiries, disputes, and litigation involving employment matters.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop legal professionals within the Employment Legal team.
  • Strategic Value Promotion: Promote the strategic value of employment law across the organisation.
  • External Relationships: Manage relationships with external counsel and regulators to ensure high-quality, cost-effective legal support.
