Job Opportunity

This is a full-time, continuing position that involves spearheading the growth of innovative research ventures with lasting impact.

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced venture investment manager who excels in complex environments, has a passion for innovation and commercialisation, and is driven by helping researchers and founders translate ideas into impactful ventures.

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree in the relevant area of science, technology and/or business, with demonstrated experience in commercialising university research or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.

  • Experience in managing and curating a technology pipeline in concert with stakeholders.
  • Experience providing recommendations and advice at senior management, Investment Committee and executive management level.
  • Start-up creation or board experience to guide and assist founders and their early-stage technology companies to develop the business and achieve success.
  • Complex Venture/Deal structuring experience to ensure models of translation are fit-for-purpose and align interests with investors, partners and overall commercial strategy of the venture.
