Unlock the Potential of Machine Learning in Trading

IMC Financial Markets is seeking an experienced Quantitative Researcher to develop high-to-mid frequency delta one trading strategies and predictive models for the APAC markets. If you're passionate about leveraging machine learning to drive trading success, this role may be the perfect fit.

You will be responsible for performing large-scale data analysis to derive statistically profitable predictions of market behavior. These predictions will inform our trading decisions, and improvements will have a direct impact on our results. You will also contribute to shaping the direction of our research and tooling efforts.

As part of our established and growing research team, you will collaborate closely with traders, software developers, and hardware engineers to identify opportunities for model improvement and implement them in production. IMC competes and wins as a team, with open idea sharing and collaboration across disciplines, desks, and offices.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Combine creativity and experience to rapidly generate high-quality, testable ideas
  • Use a rigorous and structured process to ensure your results are reliable and well-tested
  • Develop a strong understanding of market dynamics and areas of improvement, collaborating effectively with operational traders
  • Have a solid grasp of statistics, various machine learning approaches, and the risks of overfitting
  • Have practical experience extracting value from a range of sources, including public feeds and alternative data
Your Skills and Experience:
  • Graduate or postgraduate study from top universities, majoring in machine learning, statistics, or STEM subjects
  • 3+ years of experience as a Quantitative Researcher, with specific experience in high-to-mid frequency delta one trading
  • Strong programming skills in at least one language (Python preferred)
  • Significant practical experience with at least one mainstream machine learning approach
