
Mental Health Support Specialist

This role plays a vital part in assisting individuals with mental health conditions to navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and access necessary healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting and empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their lives
- Providing time-limited support for complex matters
- Offering specialist support coordination for individuals requiring additional assistance
- Collaborating with individuals, families, and carers to identify suitable support networks
- Handling complex matters such as restrictive practices and multidisciplinary teams
- Preparing detailed progress reports
- Coordinating various services to support individuals in living fulfilling lives within their community
- Engaging with key stakeholders, including government agencies and service providers, to ensure effective support delivery
- Working with individuals to strengthen their ability to coordinate supports and live their best life
About You:

Requirements:
- A relevant bachelor degree in a field such as Social Work, Psychology, or Disability
- Maintaining membership to a relevant professional body
- Ability to travel to select locations as required
- Nationally recognized first aid and CPR certificates
- A Positive Notice Working with Children certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- A current driver's license and a roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance
