We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Lead on an initial 6 Month Fixed Term Contract with opportunity to extend. This role will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive testing strategies to ensure software applications' quality, reliability, and performance.

About the Role:

  • Implement a comprehensive testing strategy aligned with the organisation's overall business goals and technology roadmap.
  • Lead and manage a team of test professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure optimal performance.
  • Establish and maintain efficient testing processes, including test planning, test design, test execution, and defect management.
  • Drive the adoption of test automation tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and reliability.
  • Ensure that the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate testing risks to minimize the impact on project delivery and business operations.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on testing progress and addressing concerns.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the testing team, identifying opportunities to enhance testing practices and processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience within financial institutions, preferably Banking
  • Proven track record integrating, managing and leading multiple testing teams from varying backgrounds
  • Expertise in various testing types, including functional, non-functional, performance, and security testing.
  • Hands on experience in Test Management/Test Consultant experience covering all areas of SDLC/STLC
  • Skills across numerous test levels, supporting Agile, V-Model, Waterfall and Hybrid testing methodologies.
  • Strong experience with liaising with stakeholders at all levels, and working with Planit's Practice Leads to drive the business forward
  • Strong SQL skills to validate data from multiple sources like Files, XMLs, Databases
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication

Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
