Job Opportunity

The Production Operations Manager will provide technical expertise for mine production, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

  • Deliver short-term schedules in alignment with direction provided by the Planning Department.
  • Establish company procedures, standards and templates for the technical services department.
  • Support operation through the delivery of safe and efficient Production plans (Drilling, charging, remote bogging).
  • Assist with the implementation of infrastructure projects and required instructions.
  • Assist the Mining Manager as required, support on a variety of tasks including technical work and statutory appointments as required.
  • Conduct ventilation surveys, monitoring, and compliance.
  • Regular Underground inspections.
  • Underground Manager ticket coverage when required.
  • Organising short-term/daily activities with onsite contractors and technical staff.
  • Assisting with validating sections of the onsite contractor claim.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS (Mining) 2022.
  • Development and implementation of Safe Systems of Work.
  • Managing and supporting raisebore and civil works contractors.
  • Mentoring and developing Production Engineering Team.

Key Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

  • A tertiary degree in Mining Engineering.
  • Solid Professional experience in mining engineering.
  • Deswik competency.
  • Production Experience.
  • Managing and developing teams.
  • Managing contractors.
  • Well-developed communication and literacy skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with well-developed time management skills.
  • Business acumen gained within an operational mining environment.
  • Full knowledge of Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
  • Outstanding analytical skills.
  • WA based with experience of local area.
  • Highly skilled written and verbal communication, literacy, numeracy and presentation skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
